MPO purposely built a 10,000 sq. ft.
clean, climate controlled, efficient and
application specific facility in
Manchester, NH that includes state of
the art injection compression molding
machines to provide for the highest
quality parts.
These state of the art injection
compression molding machines work in
conjunction with an optimized mold
design to produce precision parts. It is
critical to qualify the molds in the
molding machines before molding
production parts. Process capabilities
can be established by sampling the
production molds. Any iteration or
adjustment can then be made in real time
to achieve the full potential of the
production mold. During the mold
qualification process, the optimal
molding parameters should be determined.
Once determined, these parameters are
then maintained during production in
order to fully achieve the capability of
the process. SPC (Statistical process
control ) techniques are used to monitor
the production process to keep the
process repeatable and ensure quality
parts are made each and every time.
These state of the art injection
compression molding machines also
include integrated custom built robots
for picking, de-gating and moving parts
from the mold machines to the next stage
of processing. This provides for
continuous “lights out” operation during
the molding process and thus ensuring
uninterrupted flow of repeatable parts.
These robots help to provide high volume
repeatable optics at the lowest costs
possible.
